If you want race-day foam without a race-day price, the Evo SL is where to start. It's inspired by adidas's record-breaking Adizero Pro Evo 1 and uses a full layer of Lightstrike Pro, the same responsive foam found in the brand's racing shoes, but with no carbon plate.
That makes it a good fit for daily runs, tempo sessions and casual wear. At about 7.9 oz with a 38 mm heel and 6 mm drop, it feels light and quick, and Continental rubber on the outsole grips in wet or dry conditions.
An engineered mesh upper keeps air moving, and the shoe contains at least 20% recycled content. adidas recommends ordering your usual size. It's an easy shoe to reach for whether you're logging miles or just running errands.
