Quest Nutrition was founded in 2010 in El Segundo, California. The goal was a protein bar that people would actually want to eat, without the sugar of a candy bar. The original Quest Bar did that, and its dessert flavors like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Birthday Cake made it a gym-bag staple.  Today Quest makes protein bars, protein chips, cookies, crackers, shakes, powders, and candy, all built around high protein and low sugar. Most Quest bars have about 20g of protein and just 1–2g of sugar.
